Welcome to The Ripple Foundation and Inward Bound.
If you believe in personal transformation, as I do, then you know that that this road of self discovery is full of opportunities and challenges.
Most of the challenges I have experienced, and I know I’m not alone here, have been in the realm of relationships: from personal to professional, from friends to strangers. I’ve come to the conclusion that our relationships are the container for some of our most profound growth opportunities.
For where else do we get to practice patience, compassion, forgiveness, honor, and courage?
Where else do we get to awaken our limiting reactive behaviors and transform them into healthy, conscious, responsive choices?
Relationships provide us with a reflection of who and how we are in the world so we can learn and grow.
For the most part, we engage in personal transformation for any of three reasons.
One- we are curious. We are seekers at heart, willing to do the depth work it takes to live our life mindfully, consciously, and heartfully.
Two- we are in transition and we could sure use some tools and support to navigate our changing life.
Three- we are in pain. Pain is a great motivator. When we are in pain-physical or emotional- we are willing to take actions and even risks that will help us resolve the pain we are in.
I have, and I am sure you have also, experienced all three of these ‘phases’ of life. It was from this mix of life experiences that Inward Bound was created.
At its essence- Inward Bound is about relationships; you, me, all of us, and the journeys we will take as we travel through life.
Can we stay curious? Do we have the tools to navigate life’s up’s and downs? Is there a paradigm in which this pain makes sense and can I mindfully engage with it?
The Inward Bound journey focuses on what we call the healing response, for ourselves and for others. It is focused on the depth work it takes to explore who we are and what drives our behaviors and reactions in our daily life. Inward Bound offers a sustainable structure of tools and deep body mind transformational experiences that give support when we find ourselves in strife or angst.
Doesn’t that sound good? An easy scaffolding of tools and support you can rely on again and again in all relationships?
The Inward Bound journey delves into the body mind connection as a tool to explore our patterns.
The teachings of Inward Bound call us to explore the body-mind connection and sub conscious messages of body language.
It allows us take insightful ‘inventory’ of challenging interactions and teaches us the difference between being in a reaction and being in a response.
Inward Bound identifies the subconscious triggers that interfere with clear communication and connects how breathing (or not breathing) affects our ability to be present. It allows us to establish healthy boundaries.
Inward Bound is an impassioned quest to understanding and healing our relationships. The results are transformational.
