"Loved Mindful Aging, wow, so powerful and uplifting! Can’t believe I can feel better after a discussion on death. Deb and Theresa have opened a whole new world to both us and the residents with your thoughtful insightful program. Thank you so much."
Mindful Aging is a multi-generational discussion group. It is a gathering of people sharing their experience, wisdom and stories that answer the question: What does it mean to age mindfully? First, we explore the experience of aging and then we explore the options open to us. Using the experience of those who have aged before us, younger generations learn what aging can be like and discuss what choices may be available to each of us as we face the challenges and gifts of aging. For the more experienced in the group they hear new thoughts, perceptions and outlooks that inspire and create reflection.
We begin with a reflective chapter from a book, most often one related to aging, and from this catalyst share our own experiences, beliefs, and ideas in lively and open discussion.
The Ripple Foundation's Deb Pobst and Theresa D-Litzenberger are hosting Mindful Aging discussions at Mt Meadows Senior Living in Leavenworth. These discussions will take place October 11, 19 and 25 and will be from 10:00am-11:00am in the Mountain Room. We’d love to see you there.
