Jim Telford

I believe the first wisdom is to know who I am.

I was raised in a large, close-knit Norwegian family that moved from Ophime, Montana to Plain, WA. When I was old enough to drive a tractor or work on the trailer I found out what farming was all about. In my later years of going to WV College and after finishing, went to work for a funeral home and worked there for 2 years as I needed to go to San Francisco College of Mortuary Sciences to get my degree to become a Mortician. After graduating I returned to the Wenatchee Valley, married the love of my life, Corrine, in 1964 and started my own business, Telford’s Chapel of the Valley in 1969.

I learned that there are many steps before completing your education to reach your goal. My goal became my life’s work and I worked for 40 years and was a success.
